Nov 13, 2010I have had my macbook pro 10.6.5 for over 2 years and have never had this problem. But this morning I tried to use my webcam with flash player online and it wouldn't work. I have spent about 2 hours reinstalling browsers, flash player and repairing permissions in disk utility but still no video.
The iSight does work in Photobooth and iMovie but for some reason when I select it in the Adobe Flash Player Settings nothing happens. The green light doesn't even go on.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I can try next?
I am studying abroad in France this semester so do not have my OS installation disks with me. I do have a time machine backup though

After I wake up my MacBook Pro from sleep and click on DVD player, it won't read the DVD. I get an error message. I have to log out and sign back in for it to work. My MBP does display the DVD on the desktop after wakeup, it's just the DVD player program that doesn't work.

Jun 3, 2007I've been having an issue with my flash player for a long time now. Basically, whenever I go to a site such as download-siriusxm-on-macbook-pro.html the box where the movie should be just says: Click Here to Download Plugin, and whenever I click to download it, the automatic download fails and I have to go to the manual download. Well, that all works fine (I've tried both the .dmg and the .zip files) until it opens the Adobe Flash Page after the download and installation are complete, and I still get that message that I need to download the plugin that I definitely JUST downloaded and installed.
This has been going on for a very annoying two weeks now, and I've even gone through my desktop and deleted a bunch of my stuff in order to free up my memory and get my computer running a tad bit faster, but that didn't do anything. Frankly, I'm annoyed, and just one step from taking my computer to the store and getting them to look at it.

May 6, 2012I am running Safari 5.1.5 on Lion 10.7.3. For about a year now, I have been having trouble running Adobe Flash Player to view videos. I can verify that I have Flash Player 11.2.202.235 installed, but on some (not all) website, most notably download-siriusxm-on-macbook-pro.html I just get a button to 'Get Adobe Flash Player' even though I already have it. Flash-based ads work fine, it's really just for videos. I end up having to watch the non-working videos on Chrome where they work fine.

Apr 23, 2010about 3 or 4 days ago while surfing on YouTube I suddenly noticed that I can no longer press anything on the player anymore, no matter where on the flash application I press, it always just pauses the video. Even when I go over the volume control or the play button, they don't highlight in red anymore.
This is very annoying since I can't control the volume, fast forward, rewind, set higher resolution, click the google ads away... nothing works It just pauses the video when I click.
I emptied the cash of Chrome and restarted my Mac but nothing works.
I tried Safari and YouTube still works properly there.
I am using the latest version of Chrome (Beta 5.0.342.9).
Does anyone have a similar problem?

May 27, 2012I have a MAC OSX 10.5.8, after the recent software update my flash player no longer works.I have read that there is a problem with security for the version of flash that I was using and this is the reason it was disabled. However, I have tried to download the most recent version from the Adobe website, but nothing happens and a message says I already have flash installed on my computer.
I have a version of flash in my HD>>Library>>Internet plug-ins, and there is also one in HD>>Library>>Internet plug-ins (Disabled) which I have tried to move but it only lets you copy it and it seems unable to be moved back to HD>>Library>>Plug-ins I have also tried to download the 'No Script' addon for Firefox so that I can at least have flash working in Firefox, but that doesn't seem to be downloading either. I cannot now watch videos, listen to my favourite radio stations or even upload pics to ebay to create ebay listings. This problem ruining my internet enjoyment and I just hope that it can be fixed again. How dare Apple just do this without any warning or giving any info on how to easily fix this problem once flash has been disabled.

Sep 4, 2010have in the past few weeks uprgraded from tiger to leopard.Everything has been ok but i think i might have deleted some vital part of Quicktime player when i tried to clean up.I only realised this when i decided to get Quicktime player pro which i have paid for and have the key..I have tried to download quicktime from apple support website and just about any other website for that matter but zero.zilch.Installer takes me through the process but i get no player.
I have tried to remove all components of quicktime but to no avail.the download intalls but goes nowhere.Have tried to maybe 'jumpstart' it by double clicking quicktime time movies but there is just nothing going on.
